Second day "hoog-dag"

But that is not really how it turned out FOR ME. After some interesting sessions like the Monsanto one, and the Financial Keynote... and some times spend in the Trailhead area, Tom and I had our lunch box on our knees and joined a crowd outside of the conference center to watch Benioff and Co on a big screen. Not sure if it was the fact that we were not in the room, but I wasn't wowed by the keynote today. Were you? Anyways. We then had a client meeting at our booth, which started well: 'SFDC is Deloitte, right?'...euh, yes, and us!! After that meeting, coincidence or not I saw Patrick & Patrick at Deloitte's booth and decided to walk over to have a chat ;-). Tonight had great Japanese food with a SFDC friend and then some blues in a club... Tom went to U2, will let you know how that was later! Have a nice day you all, I am off to bed.

DF Day 1

Much of today was about queue management: queue to register, queue to backpack, queue to toilet, queue to sessions, queue to cross the streets, queue to lunch.... and painful feet (but that is just me wearing the wrong shoes). Walking the streets of SF, from one session to another. It started with an early mandatory Accenture briefing at 7h30, 'breakfast' served (a wrap that weigh in at 1KILO, which both Tom and I looked at in discredit, and didn't eat). We got to see (and hear) all the big shots, Saideep first. After a disappointing first session on MetLife, we enjoyed the power session of Schneider! Made one big mistake: forgot to go to the keynote with motivational speaker Tony Robbins. I guess still tired from the trip. Spent a long time in the expo hall in the afternoon. Tonight: had drinks with SFDC Benelux and lots of fun with Barry Callebaut at the SFDC after party in the Clift. But now, knackered and ready for few hours of sleep... night night!

Tupelo?

So after a LOOOONG flight I arrived at this 3rd world airport (really) and went through smoothly. Got in a cab which talked me through traffic jams (and charged me more then 70 USD). The Christian Palestinian driver was all for Trump... yeah! Welcome to the country of LOUD opinionated people. Got to my OK-ish hotel (it's a bit shabby and right on the cable car -very noisy), but it has a good (single) bed and warm shower. Decided to join a friend at Tupelo, a bar where one can 'jam' and have some food. Stayed for an hour or so and Uber-ed back. Had a 5h sleep. Woke up this morning feeling like shit. But need to get in shape for our first day. First meeting at 7h30 - Mandatory kick off for all Accenture... Stay tuned!

Ready... or not

Not actually. Left a chaotic house behind, a sick baby and a grumpy partner. Mila cried as if I was going to be gone forever. And my mum showed up early to drop me off at the airport so have been ages here already... 2h to go till take off. Guess that gives me time to do the trailhead I didn't do. Or not. Maybe write a blog? So you can follow our adventures into Dreamforce! Yeah!! Will have to worry about making it pretty later. Because on the mobile app right now :-)
